Role is the lead financial person in hospital, responsible for all aspects of General Ledger Accounting, including posting of general journal entries, monthly closes, trial balance and financial statement preparation. Oversee Accounts Payable clerk.
Provide financial information and support for Hospital General Manager and Operations Manager.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
· Review of Accounts Payable ledger prepared by Accounts Payable clerk
· Calculation of doctor production rates, commissions and bonuses
· Preparation of Bank Reconciliations
· Month End Close Process
· Preparation of tax filings
· Cash Flow management
· Management of General Ledger
· Budget, Forecast and Year End Audit processes
· Monthly analysis of actual results to Hospital Managers and Corporate Controller.
· Candidate must have solid understanding of accrual accounting concepts.
· Special Projects as required.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business preferred. Minimum requirement – Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
Experience:
Two years bookkeeping or accounting experience; one year payroll and accounts payable experience. Good computer skills required; QuickBooks experience a plus.
