Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
For RIF priority purposes, this is equivalent to salary grade 60 .

Graduation from an AVMA fully accredited two or four year Veterinary Technician program.
Licensed/Registered/Certified by any state.
Prefer at least 2 year emergency or critical care experience.
Ability to triage patients and know how to prioritize patients.
Computer skills.
Good team player.
Ability to work under stressful conditions-the small animal emergency & triage service is a 24/7 operation.
The Small Animal Emergency & Triage Service is a 24/7 operation.
Duties include, patient care and treatments, administer oral, IV and IM meds, assist with diagnostics.
Teach technical skills to students.
Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placements and drug calculations.
