Duties and Responsibilities: Clean and sanitize animal rooms or pens, hallways, stairways, and other non-animal areas; clean feeders, water bottles, animal caging, and other items; receive new animals, set up housing, provide feed and water, and fill out animal arrival information; collect and record applicable hand recorded and computer generated data; Overtime and weekend work as required; monitor animal room and feed storage environmental conditions; Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Mandatory immunizations and screening as required.

As an Animal Technician, you will learn to provide general facility maintenance and cleanliness and to dispense diets in compliance with appropriate regulatory agency guidelines.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; Must demonstrate a commitment to quality care of laboratory animals; Ability to lift 50 lbs; Ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information; Experience in animal labs, pet stores, kennels, farms, veterinary clinics, breeders, or other environments where exposure to animals was a part of the daily responsibilities is a PLUS, Please indicate any animal experience on your resume.
